The Lodge at Fish Creek Ranch is a large, spacious, rustic and beautiful Telluride Colorado cabin rental. It sits on pristine acreage with expansive wrap around views. A perfect setting for family reunions and fishing trip parties This is the quintessential western ranch, having been worked for generations since the 1880s. It’s located at an elevation of 8,200 feet in the west fork of the Dolores river valley. Our guests describe the lodge and property as one of the most peaceful and beautiful places they’ve ever experienced. The ranch is surrounded by National Forest.

Take a day trip to Telluride, located just 45 minutes to enjoy one of its many summer festivals or 4th of July.

The lodge is all about entertaining with multiple gathering areas for family and friends. The kitchen, living and dining areas are great for large groups. The dining table sits 11 guests. There are multiple decks with comfortable outdoor chairs and dramatic views in all directions. There’s a wonderfully cozy outdoor fireplace near the large outdoor charcoal grill – a perfect space to relax. There are lots of other fireplaces to enjoy. The hot tub accommodates 7 to 10 people. Children will love the large game room with ping pong table and pool table. Inner tubes provided when the river is running for floating.

Fishing:
There is a reason why the Ranch is called “Fish Creek Ranch”. The Telluride Colorado cabin rental is a fly fisherman’s paradise with some of the best private fly-fishing waters in Southwest Colorado including 3 miles of private water on 3 different streams. There are rainbow, cutthroat, brown and brook trout and most trout are between 14 – 20 inches. The largest trout caught on the ranch so far was a 32-inch rainbow. If anyone else was to fish these waters, they would have to trespass on Fish Creek Ranch property, so it gets very little fishing pressure. If you are staying at the lodge there are no “rod fees”.

Summer:
Fly-fishing, water tubing, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, wildlife photography, river rafting and rock climbing. Guided fly-fishing is available and can be arranged.
The Lodge at Fish Creek Ranch is just down the road from Dunton Hot Springs for lunch, dinner and a soak in their famous hot springs. The ranch is a beautiful 45 minute drive from Telluride. Guests enjoy making a trip to Telluride for restaurants, golf and shopping. Mesa Verde National Park is just 25 minutes away. McFee Reservoir is 20 minutes away.
